Experience: Documenting this journey started over six months ahead of their journey. We hosted group runs, I tagged along on some long runs with the group (a surprise 22K when I had planned on 10K… as we do), and supported the runners with shoes and kit throughout their training. Following this team during their week of ultramarathon was an equally envigorating and exhausting feat. 3:30 AM starts and some long drives made for a truly unforgettable week. It took an army to accomplish what those athletes did, and we were happy to be a part of it.
Day 1 of 7 involved a major downpour but the team valiantly completed their first 50K.
